PLEASANT GROVE, UT – Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports (UTYESS) has been awarded a $8,000 donation from the ACUI Clay Targets Fund. This donation will be made to the MidwayUSA Foundation’s Team Endowment programs which provide funding in perpetuity to promote Utah’s youth shooting sports. This is the second donation to UTYESS teams made by the ACUI Clay Targets fund this year, for a total donation of $15,500 in 2019.

These funds were made available from the ACUI Clay Target 10:1 Team Endowment Match offered for Giving Tuesday. For the first thirty eligible teams that contributed $200 to their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment account, the ACUI Clay Targets program contributed a $2,000 match. This match was only made available to teams with college athletes, or that participate in ACUI Clay Target events.

The donation will be made to the following endowment accounts held at the MidwayUSA Foundation:
$2,000 to the Cache Valley Crushers Team Endowment, Logan, Utah
$2,000 to the Cedar Clay Breakers Team Endowment, Cedar City, Utah
$2,000 to the Riverton Shooting Club Team Endowment, Riverton, Utah
$2,000 to the Skyline X Team Endowment, Spanish Fork, Utah

“We are really excited we have broadened our program in Utah to include college athletes,” said Jenny McGowan, Head Coach of the Skyline X team. “Our partnership with ACUI Clay Targets and endowment matching from ACUI Clay Targets helps make it possible for college athletes in Utah to find a sport they love.”

Through their affiliation with USAYESS, UTYESS partners with the ACUI Clay Target program, the largest college clay target program in the nation. All USAYESS state championships, including the UTYESS Youth State Championships in June, include a State Collegiate Championship open to all college students meeting ACUI Clay Target program eligibility criteria.
