PLEASANT GROVE, UT – Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports (UTYESS) has been awarded a combined $18,616 in cash grants by the MidwayUSA Foundation. $13,616 was awarded from the UTYESS Agency Endowment. An additional $5,000 is to be used for coach training.
Similar to the Team Endowment Program, the Agency Endowment Program is available to non-profit organizations that are strategically important to the future of youth shooting sports within their respective footprint or area of influence. The annual grant is 5% of the Agency Endowment’s average monthly balance over the most recent 12 months. Currently, the Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports Agency Endowment holds $281,940.23.
These grants help support the Utah state agency (UTYESS), which oversees the fifteen youth shotgun shooting teams in the state. Much of this grant will be used to support the statewide programs available for athletes that are a part of UTYESS. The grant also assists with the state trophies and recognition programs, advertising Utah's shotgun shooting teams and programs, and assisting new teams with costs associated with starting a new team in Utah.
"We continue to be grateful for the support MidwayUSA Foundation gives to Utah's youth shotgun athletes," said Brian Beard of UTYESS. "The ability to provide training to our coaches will be a huge component in helping out athletes achieve their shooting goals. The success of UTYESS and our athletes is credited in part to the wonderful support we continue to receive from MidwayUSA Foundation."
