Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports Announces New Leadership A

PLEASANT GROVE, UT –Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports (UTYESS) announced that it will start the 2023-2024 season with a new leadership team. The new leadership team is as follows:

President, Brian Beard
Executive Vice President, Matt Reich
Executive Secretary, Jim Clark
Chief Operations Officer of Northern Utah, JR Nostrom
Chief Operations Officer of Southern Utah, Dusty Wiseman

“We are very excited to announce this new leadership team,” said Brian Beard, President Utah Youth Education in Shooting Sports. “We hope this brings a new level of excitement to UTYESS. This change in leadership better aligns us with the values and priorities of our national organization. It should better allow for each team to have a larger part in our overall success.”

Mike Stuart, who had been serving as the organization's Executive Vice President and Acting President, will continue to serve as the Head Coach of Riverton Shooting Club.

The UTYESS program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth in Utah about wildlife conservation and firearm safety and promoting youth shotgun shooting sports on a competitive and scholastic level throughout the State of Utah.  Their stated purpose is to introduce youth to shooting sports and to provide training and guidance to the youth shooting programs of Utah to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, self-reliance, respect, personal discipline, responsibility, citizenship, teamwork, and sportsmanship through regular practice and competition at local, state, and national events. The program ended last season with just over 350 athletes in 15 teams statewide.
